You can discover TopSolid'Wood 2009 on the international Ligna trade fair in Hannover in May (TopSolid'Wood is also present at the all-important Drema trade fair in Poland which is currently taking place in Poznan in Poland)
Here are some of the important strong points of the new version:
More powerful machining interfaces: Management of tool numbers and depth of special tools, control of part reversal for machining and nesting exports
Increased manufacturing productivity: Multi-level numbering of a project, automatic differentiation of parts based on morphological analysis, multi-plan generation
More productive components assembly: Predefine positioning for faster component insertion, automatic dimensioning of components
More efficient data management: New filter system for draft and BOM generation (automatic multi-level indexes, additional information in the BOM, …)
New Google Sketchup interface: Importation of SKP files to access numerous 3D components avaiIable on the internet
2008 has been a particularly good year for TopSolid'Wood sales. Within Europe countries such as Sweden and Germany experienced rapid growth. Overall TopSolid'Wood worldwide sales increased by more than 40% compared to 2007 sales.

TopSolid'Progress and its fields of application
TopSolid'Progress is a fully integrated CAD module for progressive tool design. In addition to incorporating all those functions standard to TopSolid, TopSolid'Progress enables the successful blanking of a sheet metal part and the design of the strip in half the time needed by a standard CAD software. The software manages all cutting, folding and deforming stages of the sheet metal, creation of the die set, addition of standard components together with their machining processes, creation of punches & dies and the generation of specific draft views.
Here are just some of the reasons TopSolid'Progress may be the right solution for you:
The ability to communicate, read and analyse all parts thanks to the many interfaces provided and Creasheet
TopSolid'Progress provides many tools for repairing parts
Control tools
Cleaning tools
Simplification tools
Powerful surface modelor
Sheet metal part analysis
Creasheet
Unfolding
Unmolding
Powerful strip design process from 2D to 3D and also from 3D to 2D for both simple and complex parts
Reduce lead time delivery with a powerful collaborative system
Communication with the shop floor (thanks to the direct link with CAM and the dratfting capabilities of TopSolid'Progress)
Tool life cycle management thanks to the integration with TopSolid'Pdm and also TopSolid's associativity
Integration with BlankWizard and FormingWizard (in collaboration with AutoForm Engineering)
A complete CAD/CAM solution for progressive die and press tool designers with TopSolid'Progress 2009.
Easy strip layout with TopSolid'Progress.
